[QUOTE=Jay DeFehr;856252]Wow, no such associations here, at least absent "skin head" tattoos or other adornment. In fact shaved heads are pretty darned common among folks who would otherwise be considered sort of hippie-ish. My fiance wants me to shave my head. I've resisted so far but agreed to the buzz cut and sort of like it. Of course I'm bald over most of it anyway so it's mostly just a ring.
I share your sentiments Roger. I would never have drawn that negative association based on the groups hairlength, Hope most people wouldn't.
Another great portrait gandolfi !!
Great stuff. Evan, nice work. I stared at that second one for quite a while.
First off, I don't shoot people. I shoot rocks and trees. This is a guy I worked with on the last tv show I recently finished.

[QUOTE=Roger Cole;856292]It is amazing how the stigma never goes away. I shave my head because the hair started falling out when I was thirty five. But sometimes I will let it grow in. People react differently to me when my head is shaved then they do when I have hair. Although I will say this, it is much more acceptable now than it was fifteen years ago.But there are those out there that still think someone with a shaved head has bad intentions. Oh, great image, very nice.
Thanks all.
I didn't even think about those associations... it actually just was four students at this school trying this hair cut out...
and I got an association of a band. The standing girl looked rather like Sinead o Connor - very beautiful.
the crop was a mistake, but I rather like it...
They do look more like a band of musicians than a group of skinheads, for sure, but shaved heads + groupthink begs the association, I think. Tattoos or WWII symbols would be more obvious. It's a very nice image, and the lovely girl does bring Sinead O'Connor to mind.
To be clear, I wasn't suggesting these fine young people are skinheads, or that I would be likely to mistake them for such, just that a group of young Nordic people with shaved heads provokes a different reaction than a single person with a shaved head does.
Thanks for the feedback all! I've greatly enjoyed viewing the talent on this forum and learning from everyone's experience so far.
Vinny, love it...!
