You must supply your valid and working e-mail address to complete registration. Not only will the system send one or more e-mails to which you must respond, confirming your registration, but also it is essential that the moderators be able to contact you.
We strongly recommend that you add us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to your address book, both on your computer and on your mail server, before proceeding with your registration. Otherwise, your mail server may discard the confirmation e-mails that require your response.
In an effort to minimize the amount of spam posted here we filter new registrations via a spam database. The filter checks user name, e-mail address and IP address. Use of short or common user names are most likely to result in rejection of your registration—try a longer, more complex user name to avoid issues.
The address you supply will not be shared with anyone without your permission. And, you will be able to configure your profile to either accept or not accept e-mail communication from other forum members.
Also, note that cookies must be enabled for this site in your browser, and if you use firewall software, you may need to enable "external code" for the site.
Again, we recommend that you make these changes prior
to continuing with your registration.
Also note that the "validation codes" sent by the system must, for security reasons, be used within 24 hours.
