Is digital already dying?:D
It happened to me with a "used" holder. Check the possible leaks with a flashlight with the darkslide on.

Hi,
I tried rodinal for several 4x5 sheets (Delta 100) and 120 (FP4 and Delta 100) and I found the result too grainy for my taste. I switched to D76, as it was said very difficult to mix, once the...
Dry rose on rotten wood. :D
Another dead animal..
Delta 100 in Rodinal. Chamonix 45 and Rod. 120
I have just failed to develop a decent Delta 100 with Rodinal 1+25: far too clear, even for snow. I suspect that the time of 8:30 is too long, or is it the water stop bath that is not fast enough?...
I no longer have an issue with the using of the bubble levels of my Chamonix, since all the liquid evaporated! I am nevertheless very satisfied with the camera.:)
Congrats, Tri.
I spent myself 10 years in Vietnam, and I couldn't imagine staying under a dark cloth without a proper a/c system!

I use regularly a Nikon 5.6/240 on my Chamonix 45, with maximum bellow extension. The tripod will likely waver before the Chamonix.
Tachihara 45, G-Claron 210, 1"@f22", Delta 100
I did several tests with the 2 holders, without noticing a marked difference for the Epson or the BS  . I came back to the Epson holders, because it is easier to use and there is less...
Hello,
You seem to be well-informed about the capabilities of the V700 compared to the Imacon.
Could you post the same negs scanned with the 2 machines for comparison?
Hello,
I am negotiating the purchase of an Imacon 848. The seller wants 3500 Euro (4500 USD). I am presently using a V700 for scanning 6x6 and 4x5.
When looking the collaborative LF scanner...
I have just received the Chamonix-45 "the Shadow", after 9 months of waiting. Finally the postman gave birth to a baby Sinar. Nice caméra, fast set up et a pleasure to work with.
I first thought...
I changed the belows of my Tachi last year.
It's ok, you need to "razor" the old below and fix the new one with glue.
I order from camerabellows.com, they know the exact size.
I am using the Tachihara and looking forward to receive my Chamonix.
I have found the Tachi's fine tuning quite difficult and short of bellows.
Tachihara in the wild, equipped with a Rodenstock 150 and loaded with Velvia 100.
In Zermatt, facing the Matterhorn.
I am a veteran, my chamonix was ordered in December 2007!:D
no more room for food!
Salut la France!
I have a Tachihara for some time, and I am impatiently waiting for the arrival of the Chamonix (!) in August. Tachihara is ok, but I found the fine-tuning difficult and inaccurate...
I saw this portrait on the OPF and I am glad you share it with our large-formatter colleagues. 'cause I can enjoy it again.
Serge
How did you clean the fungus? I have some lens that need cleaning. I could take care of the outside with ammonia and H-peroxyde, but I does not dare to open the barrel.
I have a smaller version of your book :) (400 AA photos)
But I agree that even during our digital time, their quality is difficult to beat.
Tachihara 45, G-Claron 210, Delta 100, leaking back.
I ordered from them a new bellows for my Tachi. No cheap but they know the exact size and it fits. Go for it.

Thanks for your comments.
Since I already own the Rodenstock 75mm, I will go for the Rodenstock 90/6.8, so that I can use the same Lee adapter ring and same centre filter.
You pointed out...
Hi Sheldon,
That's correct, I (wearing glasses) find difficult to focus and get regularly out-of-focus or un-sharp pictures. I do not have this problems with other Rodenstock 75 and 150.
serge
Hi Ron,
well, interesting remarks, because I did not think about the size of the filter, but it turns out that I have several adapter rings, but unfortunately neither the 82 nor the 95. But 95...
Dear LF shooters/colleagues,
I am going to order a new lens for my 4x5 view camera.
I presently use a Nikon 8/90 which is a bit disappointing, and will be replaced soon.
What is your advise or...
Mostly front rise and back tilt, and twice per year front swing. And of course, the whole system is moving around in my Lowepro.:D
Mongolia has an incredible light (cool and dry air), do not miss it!
On the market perspective, the few survivors will make more money, hence they will stick to this niche longer. Prices may increase, as for any other commodities..
Hi,
I would not recommend you shift to Mac, because it is a dead end. Nobody ever shifts back to PC....:D
I had similar issue once, because the metal clip of one envelop remains in the holder, without me noticing immediately.
Check your holder, may be the same issue.
Hi all,
I found this fascinating series on History of Photography. I downloaded the whole series on my Itouch, for when I am travelling and eating alone.

G-claron 9/210. Amazingly sharp and nice for close-up.
I have one because I sometimes use Windows with Parallels Desktop Virtual Machine.:o
What you need a driver who can speak decent English. No particular problem with photographers in Vietnam. The only problem is to be able to photography a landscape without the whole neighbourhood...

Ah, this is photo gear! Sorry!:o
