:D Glad you guys are are enjoying and/or making use of my post.
Hahaha. The shelf life of it caught me by surprise. Luckily I caught on quick and didn't waste any time when my image was wonky. ;)
Sorry I haven't checked in, in years. I'm coming back. Real soon. Have lots I want to play with. At any rate, I did document my experimentation on Flickr. For those of you wanting to see the...
Yes, they did say they were going send some to distributors first. But they haven't mentioned that since and that was a long time ago (or did I stop reading every update carefully?) so I wasn't sure....
Anyone ever receive theirs? Thought they were shipping soon?

Mine arrived yesterday.
I haven't received mine in Alberta yet.
When Canada Customs gets hold of my packages, I usually get a parcel card and have to pick it up at the post office to pay the GST on it.
They're supposed to charge you $25 - $50 to let you know that you don't have to pay the $.50 tax. But in most cases they don't do their job and charge you tax on exempt items as well......
Scam...
Got a notification the other day that it shipped. :) Looking forward to trying mine out. :D
It's been about a month since local pickups. Have these started shipping yet?
Anyone hear how assembly is coming?
Sounds like a good deal to me. I have a CC-403 (same camera, different belows and rail length) that I started out with and I love it. I don't use it anymore really, but it's a great camera.
Yes, it's in the comments section. There hasn't been a project update in awhile.
Well, at least we all know now what the symptoms of feeding the tabs through the rollers will look like. Hopefully be able to help the next guy out quicker before he gets through his stash. ;)
Anyone heard anything yet? Haven't heard from Ben here or any Kickstarter updates since January....
I spend that on crap that I don't need all the time. Hell, I damn near spent that on a bottle of wine I brought home for dinner a few weeks ago. But it doesn't give me the privilege of telling others...
How did everything go on the 9th? Those samples turn out?
You know it has been almost ten years probably since I used the acid. And it was a challenge to get great results as it did require practice. Though usable results are instantaneous to get you...
To answer your thought experiment? Hobby stores carry acid etching for glass. Works great. Even Walmart carries Testor's Dullcote. It's a clear matte spray found with the model kits. Hairspray would...
You can use a double pole double throw relay to switch the polarity. And a repeating timer relay to set your reversal intervals.
"People in high humidity climates do not live without air conditioning"
So what are you saying? Protect your $100 camera, with a few thousand dollars worth of air conditioning equipment and a...
I have the Toyo-View quick roll slider meant for 6x9 roll film adapters. Though my Graflex 6x9 doesn't seem to be meant for it. The 6x9 frame doesn't line up properly making it more like a 6x8 or...
Lots of fun. :)

Heh. A custom camera leatherette maker once mentioned the influx of "naked" graphics were due to the people disassembling it and removing the old leather and instantly...
Thanks. :D It was a pain in the ass to re-skin it. But I'm glad I did it.

I have been processing 4x5 for a few years using the method of just placing them in the tanks. Never had any problems with them touching or scratching. Perhaps your agitation was a little rough?

Are your holders pushed in all the way past the lip so they're seated properly?
Going to be -42C with windchill here just North of Edmonton tonight. And you want to go out and take photographs in this kind of weather? Heh.
Vancouver weather would be closer to the weather in Brussels.
Are you going north for work?
When I used to work outdoors in -30C or colder, feet, legs, and hands are the first to get cold for...
Your film will be fine. Your gear however, may or may not be.
When shooting in -30c, oil and greases can gum up. Modern synthetic lubricants should solve that problem I would think.
Adhesives...
Captive bolt with retainer?
Retainer could be a circlip.
The "thumb-screw" type cross-hatch texture is called "knurled". It's a machining / lathe technique.
If you're looking for the type...
Heh. I don't know your guys' history together but it sure sounds like you're insinuating that, and at the very least insinuating that he may be stirring... Well, you can read for yourself. ;)
Sounds like you're not focusing to infinity. You really need a different lens for that camera. Or a different camera for that lens.
I have the CC-403 by the way. Which I think has a 20" rail. The...
Well, if $128,000 isn't going to get it done.......
But I don't think there's a need to worry. And there will be a few hundred units left over after everything has been shipped to take care of...
I wouldn't worry about that. Plenty of us backed them on this. They're going to be a bona-fide camera manufacturer once this hits the shelves. They'll have plenty of profits at the end of the day to...
I understood there to be two issues. An issue on the helical, and then the issue on the focus screen where the manufacturer believes it to be a match to the sample, and Wanderlust believing it not to...
I get the Kickstarter updates. Last one was October 28. Hoping there was some update on either the helical or focusing screen issues.
Any updates?
I've heard positive accounts of them more recently so it does sound like their quality has improved. Unless that is the difference between a universal / zoom vs. a fixed focal length viewfinder.
