i've owned the F-line in both 171-171 and 141-110 flavors... without hesitation i prefer the smaller model. initially i didn't think the difference would be significant, then i played with a 141-110...
photography for me has always been very much about experimentation and finding new ways to present familiar subjects. as such, my predilections have wandered quite a bit over the years.

Nope... not yet. We considered shooting up to Victoria this weekend in fact, but in the end decided to just stay put and recharge the batteries for a change. It was actually quite nice NOT being on...
whew... a VERY personal thing... you're going to get as many answers as there are shooters. this is something that will likely change several times over the course of your time in LF.

i found that some process-type lenses will do allright (fuji a, rodenstock apo ronar) in the absence of a dedicated macro lens. however, if you're going to do be doing a lot of this type of work, a...

i picked up a screen cezanne with fresh bulbs and just about every accessory made for it for considerably less than your stated budget... it's a very, VERY good scanner - in an entirely different...
paul,
i had a nikon 75/4.5 for a while and never found the need for a CF with any film. fantastic lens, btw.
chad, i shoot it like any other film... with the addition of an IR filter of course :)
seriously, i don't handle it differently in any way.
i'm so thrilled that i just had to post in this thread... i'm tall and thin - 32" waist & 36" leg - so buying pants is a bit of a challenge. even regular pants is difficult, but specialty pants,...

matus,
i also recently picked up a screen cezanne, and while i am still just getting familiar with it, i am extremely impressed with it's capabilities. it will, without question, be the last...

oh, come on sheldon, there's a whole heap of patents out there for things FAR more useless than your hanger-string-framing tool, which is actually remarkably USEFUL in the field......
oh, a friend of mine has a nifty focal length estimator tool... basically a frame on a string with knots to set the distance from your eye that approximates the various focal lengths in his kit. ...

hi dave, i've never actually done a valid a-b comparison of 200 0r 300 dpi prints from the chromira. after speaking with some of the printers over at WCI, i was convinced that 200 dpi would be fine....
hey dave, west coast recommends either 200 or 300 dpi... for larger prints, they actually recommend 200 dpi: http://www.westcoastimaging.com/wci/page/info/FAQ/uploadfaq/resolution.html
