My K100D came today and I took my 100mm f/4 macro lens out for a walk in the garden.

I don't have a 90mm lens but I will be buying one in the next year. The Caltar II-N is on the top of my wish list. If I end up with any of the f/8 lenses from the other three manufacturers I would...
I meant no disrespect to Alberto. If anyone thinks that one of my images can be improved or reinterpreted with cropping they are welcome to do so and post the results.
Alberto, I find the top of the sky less exciting. Cropped to 6X7 proportions it makes a very strong image. I might even consider the 6X6 square.

I don't know if I posted this one before. it was taken with my Yashicamat and Kodak Tri-X

I ended up putting a bid in on an ETRS on the auction site. We shall see if I get it.
All I have to say is Oh My God. I can't believe you got such and amazing picture out of a drab original scan. If you weren't so far away I would love to have you teach me.
Hey Drew, I have a 6X7 roll film back for my 4X5. The problem is that my 4X5 is a CC400. I think I could carry a RB67 and every lens Mamiya ever made for it and it would still be a drop in weight...
Paula Chamlee's photographs of Tuscany are wonderful.
I have been contemplating moving from 4X5 to some format of roll film. On any given day I can be lusting after a new camera in the 645 to 6X12 range. As I don't print any larger than 16X20 I have a...
I haven't been able to scan since I upgraded to Windows 7. I finally broke down and bought Vuescan 9 and here is my first effort.
Kodak T-Max
Yashicamat
Epson 2450

Ben do you have a time estimate on when we can get our hands on one of these cameras?
I have a clunky, heavy CC400. I don't take a lot of pictures because is it a production to get out in the field with it. There are many $600-1000 cameras that would be a joy to use and would...
In my opinion her work is hit and miss. Some pictures are phenomenal and others are just ok.
I find it very useful.
How abut a bit of panorama?

edit: The colours look much better in Photoshop.
I like the idea of this thread. Sometimes people post in the specific subjects threads and you wonder if it is safe to give an honest opinion. Anyway I am ready to sacrifice an image to the...
This is a beautiful lens but I have not seen one for under $400.
I picked up a Tominon 75mm f/4.5 this way and dropped a 150mm f/9 G-Claron into the shutter. I just have to double the f# when setting the aperture on the shutter. It should work the same way with...
What is your budget for this lens?
Ditto!!
Bob, would you need a center filter on 6X9 as you are only using the middle of the image circle?
Would 90mm lenses like the f/6.8 Grandagon or the F/8 Fujinon SW be too bulky for a 6X9 camera? I have been torn between a Shen Hao TFC69-A and a Gaoersi 6x12 as a next camera and I want a 90mm lens...
I think it will only cover 6X7 but the 80mm f/2.8 Xenotar is well thought of. It was mostly used on Rollie cameras but it is occasionally available in a Compur shutter.
You will want to multiply your f number by 1.14. This gives you less than one half a stop difference. For example a f/22 setting will give you an actual f/25.14. If I were using print film I would...
I like the one with the darker background much better.
I would be interested in a 90mm version. I would want a tripod mount and some sort of viewfinder shoe. In a perfect world it would be able to use one of the cheap Chinese 6X12 film holders. I...
Clearing Winter Storm rocks my universe!!!!!!!!!!!!
Of the landscape photographs I have seen in person, Adam's are by far the best. I do need to see more though. I would love to see exhibits of Morley Baer and one of the Weston family.
I like this one. It is detailed but soft. It seems like the choices are usually detailed and sharp or soft but obscured. anyway, Bravo!!
Paul, if I had your three lenses I add a 120mm f/8 lens to the mix. I would shoot with those four lenses for a while and see if there were any shots I was missing. If I were setting up a kit from...
If you had the $10,000 version Larissa would have probably dropped the dress.
I like this one best. It is very nice.
I find Clearing Winter Storm, which was shot on 8X10 with a Cooke Convertible, to be far more compelling than Moon Over Halfdome. I have never seen a print of Moon Over Halfdome but the books,...
Stitching scares me so I will stick to one piece of film per image. If I want a panorama it is usually cropped from the middle of a 4X5 frame...until I win the lottery and get a 6X12 holder.
That is good to hear. I have started using a 6X7 roll film holder and when I have enough money for a new camera I want to get a Shen-Hao TFC69-A. It is nice to know that I can continue to post...
For what it is worth, there is a 240mm f/9 G-Claron in a barrel on "That Auction site". It is $143.95 Buy It Now.
...
It is unfortunate as I think all people who shoot with View Cameras have a lot to offer.
That sounds like an excellent deal. How was the glass?
I paid $162 for mine directly from Sinar Bron when they were clearing everything out in 2004. It wouldn't surprise me if it was new because...
If you were to get a 210mm lens with fair glass in an excellent shutter, for under $200, you can replace the glass with a lens in a DB mount eventually. I got a Sinaron-S in excellent condition, in...
