That is a beautiful portrait of her with the chello. I bet it looks spectacular on the wall. This shows the best traditional (sans swirls and edge flaws) use of a petzval I've seen in a while.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Garrett! I do lean towards the more conservative use of my lenses for portraiture. So I most often use the softness at the edges of the image circle to keep the viewers' attention on the subject, and I stop the lens down enough to keep important elements in focus. If the DoF is too shallow, or the swirling is too great, I find it can overwhelm the subject--and the optical distortion effect effectively becomes the subject.
That was a standout portrait for me too.
