One major hurdle over - had to install my own water heater and everything. Only have a 1 year lease so didn't get too fancy. Tomorrow am picking up a CLS 1840 too.

beautiful sink
is that from Rosy Products? Very good looking sink!
-Dan
just purchased an 8' rosy w/backsplash -- how difficult to construct?
Yup! I thought I would avoid any risk of chopping of fingers with power tools and just buy a sink instead of trying to make one I also just bought the work benches in my darkroom instead of making them and both financially and qualitatively, they're far superior to anything I could have made (and no power tool fatalities there either)
Looks great! Nice high ceiling for you Durst too.
A quick & Ez (but not as cool as stainless steel) backsplash can be a sheet of fiberglass roof material.
Happy printing!
Whew - that took a while but I'm now done with setting up the darkroom (little things still pending -- aligning the enlargers, fixing the print dryer, figuring out a way to redirect air intake so it doesn't blow directly on the drying negatives.)
First image from left is the "dry side" with my three enlargers -- an Omega D5xl, a durst CLS 1840, and an old Devere 108 which is waiting to receive its Omega F head lamphouse.
The second image on the left is the wet side sink, with the table for matting etc in the middle of the room (which will go on caster wheels soon, so it can be pushed out of the way)
The third is the alt-process bench with my UV plate burner (still needs to be plugged in) and a darkbox that I use to load film etc when I don't wnat to bother turning off the lights.
The fourth is my print-proofing/drying area which is lit by solux lights. The gray board is metal and uses magents to hold prints. Since the airvent blows air directly onto this location, I have to cover things with plastic to minimize dust.
Last shot - enlargers.
The table located between the two 8x10 enlargers is for keeping timers, paper, etc.
The rest of the space is dedicated to shooting -- I'm waiting for seamless paper delivery
