How tall is the column + baseboard of the Durst L1200?

Mine is 55 5/8"

The head will rise somewhat above the column

There must be different versions, mine is shorter than Matthew's at 48".
The head, a cls color head, can poke above by another 12 inches.
The height is plenty for any enlargements I will ever do.

Mine is 55", a bit higher with CLS head fully extended.

Same as mine. If you have headroom problems, you can always build a lower-height cabinet to set it on, or cut a recess in the ceiling between the joists.
