Flipping again through an older portfolio of prints, I ran across this one that I had quite forgotten about. A view of the Waccamaw River upriver of Georgetown, SC, looking downstream from what had been a prominent 19th century rice plantation. If you look really, really closely in the river about mid-way back, you can see the remains of posts that had been part of the water control system. As I recall, this was my first real documentation job, so running across this print brought back wonderful memories of a glorious October day in SC (and oh, that barbeque sandwich for lunch, sitting on a dock along the edge of the river...yum...).
Unless plans changed since I was there, this is now the marina for a tony subdivision.
4x5, Schneider 150 lens (the only one that I had at the time!), Ilford Delta 100, and no records whatever of exposure information...

Here are two lough-side pictures from a trip to the west of Ireland in 2006 ...
I just started down the scanning path and this is my first scanned image. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it.

A couple from Salton Sea last year...
The first is a crop from a 4x5... I actually had a light leak on this negative but it only affected the piling on the left for some strange reason. The density in the wwater was not affected???
Second is a crop from an 8x10 negative.

Taken on MacKenzie Beach, west coast of Vancouver Island.
This is a neg scan, "toned" in photoshop to resemble the 11x14 print I made. The highlights aren't blown in the print.
Beautiful image, Sly!
