Sweet. I like the junkyard setting with the skyscrapers in the background.

    Nice pic Spiky.

I have not yet had the chance to visit Shanghai, I would very much like to see it at least once in my life. I complain about the way Montreal is growing and the way the cops have clamped down on our way of life, but when I look at these images, it just boggles the mind!

    Shanghai Municipality:
The 2000 census put the population of Shanghai Municipality at 16.738 million,
    Area: 6,340.5 sqklm

    Population of Canada:
    31,612,895 (2006 Census).
and is 9,976,000 square kilometers, or 3,745,574 square miles in area.

    Montreal:

As of 2006, Montreal had a population of 1,620,693
    482.84 km2 (300 square miles).

    Here’s a less-claustrophobic Cityscape – from 50 miles away.

You’ll have to squint to see it! Still nothing? Okay, here’s a "binocular" crop to help.

View from Olympic Mountains – looking East across Puget Sound, to Emerald City below. On the horizon are the Cascade Mountains.

I tried my hand at shooting large format at night for the first time tonight. It even started raining 15 seconds into the exposure, but I stuck it out and I'm glad I did. I'm encouraged to do this a lot more now.

I didn't like that huge blob of light on the right so I had to reshoot it.

And while I was out and knew I had a basic exposure sorted out fot this kind of thing, tried something else.
