I'll begin with this one.
Elite endurance athlete Rebecca Rusch finished a 12 hour mountain bike race only a few minutes before this photo was made. Hard to believe it from her appearance.

Epson flatbed scan.
Printed on my 7600 with Epson Semimatte 250 at 24 inches wide. Toned using Ken Lee's old quadtone method and converted to RGB. This is a small version of the same file I send to the printer. The prints look like this small example. Or the other way around.
I know you were looking for a traditional answer. Which might be Bergger VCCB Style in Ansco 130 or in that neighborhood.
Thank you, Henry.
When I want to see clean well composed images, your site is the deal.

I hope there won't be too much magenta. It happens when I scan dark toned images.
Henry...
That photo looks familiar...was it published in a magazine recently?

Domenico,
Very moving photo. It really got to me.
Frank,
Your photos get to me as well...just a little differently. I keep thinking about your work when reviewing our photoshoots and can't help but think you could bring something special to our editorial shots. We tend to be very product oriented but on the rare occasion when we do editorial everyone loves it.

My brother was 45 this week..so out came my 11x14" Sands Hunter.
Cyanotype on unknown watercolour paper.
My friend Marina was visiting this weekend, and was a good enough sport not just to sit for me but to tolerate me throwing different hats and clothes (and lack of clothes) at her. I was mostly using my old rollei, but shot a handful of 4x5 on the toyo, with a 210mm rodenstock geronar at f8 for about 1/15th by the window in failing light.
and if someone can remind me of the painting I was thinking about when we shot this one, I will be hugely grateful...
I can't help you for the painting.
It could be many.
But the light in your image, Kate, is beautiful.
