Did anyone ever publish plans for a simple reflex viewer?

It's basically just a mirror.
I assume your interest in reflex viewers is with regard to large format cameras: a reflex viewer will make the image upright but the image becomes laterally (left-right) reversed. A mirror plus pentaprism is needed to get an upright, laterally-ccorrect image.
I saw one made on fb group 3D printing and analog photography.
For Graflex back.

Hello from France!
Here is an article by Hervé Ellena, in French, published in 2008

An automated translation into English by google yields a far from perfect text (with funny expressions e.g. "chamber" "a sight veil" "the aiming sleeve") but will certainly help

The ideas can of course be adapted to any brand of LF camera.
Reflex viewers work better with fresnel focusing screens as you need the whole image focused on that close, central view point.
Mine is a Cambo but Sinar and a few others made them. The engagement points are the same on several I've seen, whether they are interchangeable, I don't know. If you check ebay often enough you may find one cheaper than making one. I really like mine, rarely use a darkcloth.
I have one that came with my Calumet CC-401, but I have yet to use it.
