Pieter, I have a 3/16 plate, sold by Light Impressions long ago. 1/4" would be fine, I used to use one I got from a metal sculptor friend. You just have to be able to lift it! I assume that it acts as a heat sink as well as a weight.

Anyone having this problem with 16x20 Ilford? If so, which side is wrinkling?
I have a “series“ of print flatteners…
I went to a fancy kitchen store and asked the owner if I could have the pieces of the stone countertops that they cut out for placing the expensive sinks. He was happy to oblige.
On the way home, I stopped by Lowe’s and picked up some durable handles and super strong marine epoxy .
They’re super smooth, and super heavy. Also, a wonderful heat sink. I usually use a piece of release paper between the polished stone and the print just for good measure.

I seriously doubt that will flatten the wrinkled edges I am talking about.... but it's gotta be good to stop curling! and it's pretty!
