I had this classic in mind for a long time and finally managed to photograph it.

The second in a series of images of flowers and objects a windowsill, shot from outside, so incorporating reflections as well. The ball-like object on the right is dried kelp, arranged with the skull of a seabird--probably a gull. The series is in pause, as my wife has thrown out all the flowers and has yet to replace them.
