Nice job with the phone, Ken. I like the subtle reflection of the tripod in the handset. I have a small collection of vintage phones; maybe it's time I brought them out as props.

Here's one of mine from earlier today.

    Ica Universal Palmos 275, 15cm f/4.5 Tessar, 9x12cm Efke PL100.

Thanks, Steve. It's a photo I've been meaning to take for a while of something I see every day: the decorative top of a water pitcher I use to fill the tea kettle each morning.

Here's my latest attempt at still life. I'm working with some old tools/kitchen implements that belonged to my grandparents.

The first is (very) expired Kodak Plus-X Pack Film and one B1600 strobe with large soft box. I kind of like the effect the bad film has on the image. I almost threw out all 16 negatives because they were so thin, but I'm glad I kept them.

The second is a similar setup, but with window light and Arista.EDU 100. Both processed in HC-110 Dil. H in a Jobo.

    Toyo 45GX
    Rodenstock 210mm f/5.6
    Epson V700 scan

That's a nice mix of shapes and balance and tones!

I am generally not much of a still life fan, but this works real well for me. Great shapes and tones and excellent use of DOF. Very well done, Jonathan.
