I think the delicate tones in your van dyk are rather nice.

Well, here is one of my carbon prints from a recent trip to Oregon. This is a feather in a seaweed bed at Sunset bay. The star shape caught my eye. Some nice relief on this one.
BTW Tri, I love the tones on that print. I think it works much better.
Jim, the relief is very palpable in this one!
Great textures...

Wet Plate Collodion on Aluminum 5x7
Voigtlander and Sohn Euryscop at f16, 40 seconds, Ansco 8x10 Universal
My first picture post on this forum.
Ferrous Sulphate Bottle
Wet platers know what this is for!
Voigtlander and Sohn Euryscop, Ansco 8x10 Universal Field Camera, backlit, f22 for about 30 seconds.
Stereo shot of my son.
Watson falling plate camera. Exposure was about 10 sec. at f11.
The original plate has more contrast than the scanner shows. I shot this a while ago, and could not get the pics to line up. Then in the middle of the night, months later, I realized that wet plate is reversed. So, I cut the plate in half and switched the images, and it worked.
The plate is 3.25 by 7 inches, so I'm guessing it falls into the large format category?
Andrew, thank you for taking the time to prepare the video. Ive printed a few carbons with a fairly good success rate thanks to the long distance help of Jim Fitzgerald. It's nice to see the process and reaffirm the steps I was taking in my own printing.
