It comes up fairly often on Abesbooks.com. I bought mine (a 2006 printing) a couple months ago for $26. The book is very good, but it's not worth spending crazy money for it. I only waited about a month before a couple popped up below $30. And of course, the next day there was one for $17.

The cheap ones are the Lith book, not the general printing book.

I'll keep on looking. I mean, I have to find one somewhere, right?

I see a few of them under $30 on Amazon:

Have a look at the David Vestal books: Craft of Photography and Art of Black and White Enlarging. Great books.

Yes I agree with Doug. These two books, though written a while back, are very good primers and can be found on the 'net for little money.

If you're really new to printing, but understand cameras, I also recommend Henry Horenstein's Advanced B&W book.

I found one at half books, 99 cents. Keep looking.

Have a look at Amazon.UK. A few copies there and not that expensive.
