I recently purchased a set of 5x7 holders, one of which had 2 dry plates still in it. I didn't really realize they were "plate" holders until I received them.
Anyway, Here are scans of the 2, and...

I'm trying! Ain't easy.
I followed the Tetenal/Jobo instructions as to time and temp. Same with the Arista E6 kit.
In a CombiPlan tank, everything works out as expected.
I asked the inventor for advice and he suggested a...
I tried using one for C41 and E6. In both cases, the inside sheets were ruined -- C41 developed green and E6 developed red. I havn't had the courage to try B/W yet.

That's one approach. When you hang a piece, label it "not for sale" -- and mean it. ...
Thank you!!

Thanks, all....
In the (wonderful) 1947 book "Professional Portrait Lightings", a few of Mr. Abel's photographers make mention of a "head screen." I'm researching what that means, and it's not as easy to google as...

Wollensak Vitax -- wide open on #5 diffusion.
It's been said (and I agree) that if one is willing to sacrifice razor sharpness, then, on #5 you can get a huge depth of field. I really never believed...

Yes. Pictorico. I've tried this before, and it does work. However, my 2200 gave up the ghost a while back and I havn't replaced it yet.
Saving up the pennies for a 3880 (which will allow me to print...
If I knew how to do that, I'd try.
But seriously, the density is just off the map. I took a LOT of jiggering to get the water to look half-way decent.
This with 8x10 Ektascan, Nikkor 250. Didn't get the exposure right, but still -- jiggered it in P.S.
There is no way this could be printed on silver-gel.
I'll try again some time soon.

I didn't realize the '8x10 B&L Zeiss Anastigmat Series II' would glow like that!!.

Yup. I have 2 boxes of 4x5 in the freezer, plus about 4 boxes of the "special" one-shot developer they made for it. Talk about "holy relics!!" Rollei made a decent tech-pan clone ("ortho 25") but...
