Fantastic Paul. My order of that film just arrived, and I’m going to follow your speed and development recommendations. Thanks for your information and beautiful work, as always.

Very nice Thom!
That’s a great paper, and as others have said, you can vary the toning with selenium with different dilutions. I use dilute selenium (1:9) for archival purposes, and a little more dmax, and use that...

Remember to bring the right sized filter!
That’s outstanding! Deserves a big print!
Very much. Nice work. The elements capture my mixed feelings. The allegories are very clear.
I really appreciate your high-effort posts here Doremus. You add a lot to this forum.
That’s decreasing the exposure by two stops.
I’ve put both down the drain into my septic. No problems that I know of.
More movements, flexible systems. You can add bellows to your heart’s delight. No one camera does everything. You said you were doing portraits and wanted to do still life. Now you want a camera...
I think what xkaes meant was, why not use a monorail camera for studio work? That’s what they’re designed for, and can be had relatively inexpensively. Field cameras, such as the excellent Chamonix...
That’s fantastic Tuco!
I use them for inversion. They seem to hold all the sheets in place.
Wow, thank you for correcting me Bryan! I had no idea of this subspecies, and I will take a deeper dive into the literature on it. Thank you for sharing the photo and the details!
Nice one Bryan. You may be thinking of Whooping Cranes, of which there are so few. Sandhill Cranes are currently “of least concern” from a conservation standpoint. They are wonderful birds.
I bet that would be quite different today! Hope you’re safe and sound.
All really nice Keith. I especially like the first one. Great tones.
Congratulations John! I love the motorcycle photos, even though I’m not an aficionado of vintage bikes. My bike is in the shop….
Thanks for your contributions to this forum!

That Star Lake photo is fantastic. Thanks for posting it again!
Congratulations. Looks like a beautiful day to finish. Love the Limmers!
Thanks for the history Michael. I drive by there all the time.
I use the Jobo tank for hand inversion exclusively. Yes, it’s a lot of chemistry, but I use Pyrocat HD, so it’s very economical.
Love those both Austin!
Nice images, but this is the Black and White thread.
Nice. Thanks for posting.
I rate FP4 at 100, and my N development is 11 minutes at 70F, in the 1:1:100 dilution, with agitation for one minute initially, and 10 seconds every minute afterwards, in trays. With roll films, I...
The foliage in Sugar Hill is pretty good too. Just saying.
They are becoming more common farther north in New England now Peter. I never saw them when I was growing up in northern New Hampshire, but I’m always looking very carefully now in Western Mass,...
I’m no expert, but that looks to me like a Red-shouldered Hawk, not a Red-tailed.
Thanks Don. I’ll be in touch. I just found out our long-delayed home improvement project may be starting soon, so my schedule is at the mercy of the contractor, who is not very communicative. But...
Don, I also sent you a PM.
I remember that Randy, and I’m super-impressed!
These are all great John.
Thanks Peter and Jon. We could turn this into a bread forum, but we won’t.
I baked today as well. I need to work on my scoring….

For a hiking pack with an excellent design, look at the Mystery Ranch Y-zip packs. I use an older Dana Designs pack for my Wisner tech 4x5, and a Dana Terraplane for 8x10. The newer Y-zip designs...
I know this is sub-optimal, but I get my scans from the scanner plus old iMac in my basement darkroom to my new Mac mini on the second floor using Google Drive. A large scan of an 8x10 raw file...
For 4x5, I think you should buy 12 holders. Taking 6 out for a few hours should be sufficient, and you would have the other 6 loaded for another shoot. I still take two exposures of each shot, both...
The Voigtlander external meter is a pretty good averaging meter for a cold shoe.
