Correct me if I am wrong, but a camera that is considered to have a double extension should have a bellows draw of twice the focal length of the standard lens (300mm / 12" on 8x10).
I seem to...
Contact current rating might be for continuous use, rather than intermittent use.

For those in alternative print processes, they did plate burners i.e. high output UV sources for Pd/Pt, gum...
Randy,
Is this the thread for sharing our Elwood pix?

Eric,
When Richard Ritter did some work making dark slides for my two 8x20 holders, he had me send the camera back to him, as well as the holders.
Apparently it was common one time to mount the...
Ed,
One of the areas you might find helpful in looking to evaluate service providers and sellers is the Buyer - Seller Advisory section.
Both Richard Ritter and Keith at Custom Bellows UK will...
Might want to contact Richard Ritter, as he is highly recommended.
Custom Bellows UK is an excellent source for new bellows.
Have used both Richard and Custom Bellows UK and would use them...
I purchased a Luland adapter board to mount a Sinar shutter onto the front of my Deardorff V8.
Required a little adjustment with a small file and sandpaper to get it to fit into the Deardorff...
Common situation and a common solution...
As noted by rfesk above, some use small lens boards like the Graflex boards, or others like in my case use a Linhof Technika style lens boards, and use...

You will find a large number of Canadians on this site, but do not tell the others about it, as they might get suspicious of our...
Any updates?
Sent an email last week to the address on the website, but no response.
Have my Korona 8x20 Panoramic View in a Gator mixer bag, including the two film holders and rear extension.
For the shutter hole size and other related info, might want to look at:

Yes, it does have that style of presentation in its design...
I can confirm the effectiveness of Bob's efforts, as I have a Pt/Pd print on the wall that Bob printed up for me where the shadow areas are darker than the Pt/Pd alone will provide.
Had a couple of the 5x7 ones over the years past, prior to the acquisition of an Omega D, then a couple of Durst enlargers.
Below is a gum print done during a workshop with Bob Carnie of the last...
Brad,
Is the front-most flange connected to the lens aperture adjustment?
As these lenses were also used for photo-reproduction work, sometimes they mounted an extension onto the aperture...
This is a whole topic onto itself.
Might want to search out:
1. Sinar Copal shutter
2. Packard shutter
3. Jim Galli shutter - Two dark slides in “V” formation
Bear in mind that 8x10 enlargers were not built in-situ, and needed to be shipped from where they were manufactured.
You may find that they can be reduced to multiple modular assemblies for...
Looking at using a horizontal enlarger, or do you have the head room for about 64" from negative stage to the paper for a vertical enlarger to get your 2x magnification of an 8x10 negative with a...
I once bought someone's Beseler 45 enlarger mounted onto a Beseler drop table.
The enlarger was mounted on the back part of the table, and the top part for the easel level lifted out and slid into...
While I have not seen a Deardorff V8 or images of them with bag bellows, have seen recessed boards and recessed adaptor boards that could provide some of the desired capability, with the added...
Dan,
Indeed that is often the case.
Having worked in industrial environments, I typically expected to have available some specification provided by the manufacturer indicating functionality and...
Dan,
Staggering conclusion in this age of information strewn throughout the Internet, but one that I cannot dispute from my efforts.
Thanks for the reply,

OK, resurrecting an old thread, but in my search for info on the Konica Hexanon GR II lenses am unable to find any real specs on them.
I recently acquired a 150, 260, and a 300, and when mounted...
BTW, your enlarger looks to be a condenser enlarger, so the question is whether the condensers match the lenses you are using?
That was one of the attractions of purchasing a 760mm f1:11 Apo-Nikkor without a flange relatively cheap ("relatively" being a relative term...). It shares the flange and lensboard with my 600mm...
And me as well, including shipping from Canada.
You will need to sort out with Customs that you are sending it for repairs, so that you only pay relevant HST and customs on the repair to the...
Is this a bellows sag issue?
Have you tried putting something under the bellows to keep them up and not sag into the picture?
My ULF Korona 8x20 Panoramic View has clips on the front standard...
As noted by many and experienced by myself, your first 8x10 is unlikely to be your last, as you learn what works and what doesn't, what you like, and what features you tend to use that are a real...
Indeed an issue with tailboard style cameras as the front standard is fixed in its position on the rail.
Certainly I did not like the rear rail in my chest or neck when trying to use any short...

Daniel,
Used Kevin as well in the past when we were both in the Mississauga area near Toronto and pleased with his work.
He moved to the Welland, Ontario area, so now closer to the USA border....
Might want to think of the OEM lift arm handle as a protective device like a fuse or shear pin.
If it was stronger, then you might find the underlying mechanism would fail instead of you breaking...
Randy,
That almost makes my Durst L184 10x10 enlarger look like a hobbyist unit... :D
Thanks for sharing,
Len
Alec,
Might want to check the light trap design.
I heard the Folmer place the ridge on the camera and the groove on the holder.
Could be wrong, but might want to check.
Len
Steve,
My 355 f9 Repro-Claron lives in a Compur 2.
There were some other Schneider lenses from that period that used Compur 2s as well. The solution at the time when the Compur 2 was...
Luis,
Just to be clear, "a Deardorff" is singular... :D
However, as a V8 owner I can understand the enthusiasm, just never been able to justify more.
Best wishes,
Len
To be clear, that is with a flat lens board.
A "top hat" lens board should get you closer, or allow use of a longer lens.
