Thanks all!
Has this year's Ilford order been placed? Which stores? Any of them ordering WP? Any Delta 100 by chance? Any store with stock right now? Thanks!
Thanks John. And was 18 at Olmsted Point? :)
Very nice, clean, and interesting colour work - I also like the glacial rock B&W (is that Olmsted Point or is my visual memory suspect?). Curious about which ones were digitally captured?
For those of you that use Noblex cameras or 6x12 backs, what focal length enlarging lens do you use? Thank you!
It's on now in Toronto. Over 130 venues. Some very nice work this year. If you're anywhere near Toronto in May, definitely worth some visits!
Is that kind of language allowed on this forum?!? :D
Welcome!!
I had a great time in New Zedland (I'm in Canada so we say zed instead of zee  ) back in the 80s - wonderful place....
Austin, can you divulge a bit about the printing? Love the tonality! :)
Hey all, sincere thanks for all the totally groovy advice!! See you there!! :D
I would LOVE to join such a group on a trip! Then everyone would call me "hey, young 'un"!! :) :D
I'm now wondering if I didn't drive far enough as I stopped at the first flat spot with a view of the Valley but the road seemed to continue to the left and up and I didn't notice the sign either!...
Definitely not as sexy as it sounds!!!
Thanks Jim; I think you may be right. Gotta get this sexagenarian body into better shape!
Last February I drove to Aguereberry Point to what I thought was the end of the road, parked and enjoyed the wonderful view of the Valley below along with a toast of Glenmorangie (this year it may...
Thanks for the good advice all!
Still hoping to get to Death Valley this February. Is it possible to get to the Eureka Dunes by takiing the road NW from Scotty's Castle to Crankshaft Junction and then West and South? Thanks...:)
Wecome Colin. I'm from Etobicoke, Canada. BUT, I spent 4 great months domiciled in Adelaide while visiting a lot of Australia...:)
When where you there, Ray? I was there in February but I don't have near as many keepers. Nicely done! Where was "Ghost Town" and "Words From the Past' taken? Did you get to do Titus Canyon? Highly...
Anybody?
Do you have 2 pieces? Then you have a 500mm lens. 3 pieces? Then you have both a 360 and 500 lens. Either way, a great price. :) Nikkor also makes a 720 rear piece.
Hmmm...maybe I should rephrase this. Why of all the 360 mm focal length plasmats with typical image circles of around 490mm does the Rodenstock Sironar 360 have only a 435 mm image circle?
Just curious why the image circle of the Rodenstock Apo Sironar 360 N specs out to just 435 mm compared to over 494 for the Nikkor, 491 for the Apo Symmar and 485 for the Fujinon. Since these are all...
Interesting, in this one cat they refer to 105, 300 and 450 M but not the 200. And only the 270 T, not the 360/500/720 etc. I had not heard of the 105 M.
Thanks all for the great information!
Which of course translates as "Coupled with Nikon's original multilayer coating"
Thank you!
I wonder if that includes the 150 SW? It's not listed in a cat that nice LF Forumer sent me...
Haven't been able to find one. Anybody? Thanks!:)
Is NIC single or multi coated? Are the lens inscribed as MC? Thanks again.
So,...you like it?:D
Did you try toning it at all? It seems fairly resistant. But I like it straight up anyway...beautiful tonality.
Where did you hear of this Joe? Are you sure you didn't dream it?
It does sound interesting though! A one-off print!
Any idea of cost? ISO? Tonal distribution - eg. does it dump...
From the Kickstarter Project:
To All Backers of "Finding Vivian Maier" the Documentary Film,
We have begun to package and ship out the Vivian Maier books!!! Most of them have left Chicago...
Very much so, thank you Clive. :)
There seems to be 2 available here in town used but in very good condition. They're asking $2295 and $1895. One is open to offers (the latter). Any idea of what these are worth now? I couldn't find...
The front is common to all 3 focal lengths and should have 3 scales on the Copal 3 shutter. You then get the focal length you want by screwing in the correct rear group. Looks like you're missing the...
There's a store right here in Toronto that's advertising one as well (for half the Calumet price). I'll check in the morning tomorrow when they open...
It's just the way they (Calumet) put it:
...
I've seen a few references (eg. Odyssey Sales, Calumet UK) that this lens is being offered for sale. Has it been re-issued?
When then can we expect the Grandagon 200? :D
And VERY well said, very informative, thank you!
Encouraged and challenged (in a good way!)...
I did say smile, not laugh...
Before I went on my trip last February to Death Valley and Joshua Tree, I was a little concerned about setting up a tripod with a biggish (7x11) camera on it. And, in point of fact, a park ranger in...
Federico, I have to admit that it's a thing of beauty! :)
Do you have any of your 12x20 photos online?
When I was younger (last year or so  ), I was seriously considering doing the...
