Hi there, Thanks for your kind words, I am always humbled to hear when people enjoy my work. I have sent you a private message regarding prints. If you scroll to the top of the Page you will see a...
I used a 3 stop hard edge grad filter but it clearly wasn't enough. Haha.

5 months ago, its dead.. Trust me on that... i had a set of the concentrate go bad on me in 3 weeks.. let alone 5 months
Wow. Despite your challenges this is utterly superb.
I would buy a print of that. That's stunning.
My 2c worth on that shot.
I feel it would work well as a minimalist panoramic if cropped 3:1 or 2.5:1 with none of the foreground rocks. I feel the rocks add little to the image and draw attention...

Thanks Maris, I wasn't sure if I had ventured far enough around to be in Granite bay or not unfortunately, I arrived at Noosa Heads at about 4:20am, it was still quite dark.. I went off the basic...
A fresh one from me.. Also posted in the Landscapes thread... Probably more fitting here...

Last one for today...

Another.......
One from a recent outing with the new toy, the 65mm f/5.6.. Very happy with the perspective it offers over my previous 90mm and 75mm lenses...

This is sensational and inspirational.. I love the subtle use of movements to create something that looks surreal and yet some how correct at the same time...
Beautifully exposed too.. :)
This is beautiful! That sky.... Wow
A recent series of images I produced.. Originally posted in Urban Landscapes, I feel the architecture in the bridge also warrants it being here?

That is a bad idea I think.. I'm not 100% sure on this but I don't believe the taco method lends itself to rotary processing as developer will not flow over the negatives in the normal fashion,...
Last in the series of 3.

His prices seem strange to me though.. an 11x14 is only 200 less than a 14x17? and the 8x10 is nearly $1200 cheaper than 11x14? Is there something I'm missing? I asked him about 7x17" and he said he...
Unless you totally need colour to achieve your work, a 4x10 or 5x12 inch camera is going to cost largely the same as a 7x17 or 8x20 in the used market.. If you want big, go big..

Lachlan717 uses s&s holders in his 717 and tells me the quality is spot on. I was just enquiring with S&S last week and will be buying some 7x17 holders sooner rather than later.
Vaughn - I really love that look of the Alders, Partial coating give it such a hand made look... Really beautiful.
Agreed.. I do the neg on a lightbox with an iphone all the time.. Nearly every time I develop negs I'll snap a pic of at least one of them to get a feel for it before it dries... :)
I think I will give Cyanotypes a go to start with to get the ritual down pat then move to PT/PD once i have the process down and know what to expect from it... I've got the chems I need for...
Excellent h2oman.
Superb!
Haven't even looked into that yet... Do they have a similar look as platinum (as in, sensitizer painted onto paper, negative contact printed onto that) That particular look is what I'm really going...
I've recently been taking a strong interest in Alternative, contact printing methods. I'm planing to get a 7x17" in the not too distant future, and with that in mind, I got into practicing doing...
Thanks Bob. That's really what I was aiming for with this. When I exposed it, it was all about the colour beneath the clouds however once developed and scanned I found the colour really detracted...

Another set of beautiful images Nana. I used cheap cokin filters for a very long time until I started shooting digital. They never worked well on digital so I upgraded to lee filters. Now shooting...
Very cool, Alan.. I like that a lot!

Thanks Nana & Harley, Appreciate it.. The image was intended to stay as a 4x5 ratio however due to a rather extreme light leak in the bottom half of the frame due to an old holder I had to crop this...
