Just curious...
Are you, and to what extent if any, are you incorporating digital technology into your large format work?
No problems with the plastic dark slides (or odors) to report with my Toyo 4x5 holders :)
This was such a surprise. I am so grateful that photo.net is out of the picture. It's great to be back home!

Depending on your location, you may want to try small claims court. Retaining an attorney to recover what sounds like a small amount would be counter productive. I would be interested to hear their...
Yes, I have done this with much success using a small flashlight with difusion material over the light to lessen the exposure.
Was your instructor able to provide any examples to drive his point home? You may want to do such a test yourself using the same subject under the same conditions with the only variable being the...
Ed,
Congratulations! Speaking from experience, you'll love the 45AX!
Enjoy!
Scott,
I think Dan has the right idea with the plastic bag. I had a very bad experience once with a Canon A1 at the beach once. After about 1 hour, the shutter button became very gritty and...
Jonathan,
Well said... Thank you

You're correct. I think you hit the nail right on the head. There are at least a couple of people that post here who have the moderator's ear, or even higher, if they feel they have been insulted....

Wes,
Depending on where you are, you may want to try small claims court. I've done the same thing before. I blame myself for not getting an agreement in writing and signed. It was a good...
Rich,
Some of the best work I've ever layer my eyes on was done with an inexpensive, all plastic Holga camera. The 20 x 24 prints were wonderful and a pleasure to wander through. Where they tack...
And if Michael looses in court, guess who pays the defendant?s attorney fees... Michael does. The odds are that if it ever got to court, both of you would probably be unhappy with the outcome. Try...
Before I get attacked for typos and spelling, here it is again :) Sorry.
I am in agreement with Kevin on this. I too think this would be the logical and reasonable first step. If that fails,...
I am n agreement with Kevin on this. I too think this would be the logical and reasonable first step. If that fails, then small claims may be your recourse. Looks like a good learning experinece...
One of the best bodies of work I've seen recently was done by photographer who used a plastic 120 camera with a plastic lens.
The great thing about getting older is that I have learned to not take things so seriously and yes, laugh at myself as well. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us Robert.
Josh,
I've been using the Pentax 6x7 for about 15 years now. It's a real workhorse and reliable. The 6x7 II appears to be a solid piece of equipment in every respect. You will find that people...
I use the 45AX. It will not fold with a lens installed.
Are you using a tripod?
Paul,
Consolidated Media in Pasadena California does a beautiful job in developing black and white and E6. If you would like more information, drop me an email.
Scott,
Thanks for the update... This is valuable information. Now we want to see some of your work :) Have fun with that new enlarger!
Maybe because it's filtering out UV which can give you false focus?
Scott,
Just do a simple test for fogging as Steve suggested above. Think about it. Just think how much light is hitting your paper when you are making an exposure and how you can have pure(non...
Scott,
I don't think you will suffer any ill efects from this. As noted above, do a simple test to see if there is any fogging, and then take the appropraite action if necessary. Enjoy.
I am considering adapting an Aristo VCL 4500 cold light head on my Beseler 45mx enlarger. I will be printing mostly 4x5 negs with a 150mm lens. For those of you who have a similar set up, did you...
