I'm not sure what you mean. It's an Ebony copy I think. From what everybody said when it came out it's supposed to be a fairly close copy.

My HZX57 takes Sinar flat boards but not recessed. The FCL810 takes both flat and recessed.
The 5x7 can be had with a 4x5 back. Little bigger and heavier then a true 4x5 but not much.
I use multiple drums. Washing in the drum isn't an issue. It's making sure the damn thing is 100% dry.
For drying paper towels.

In some ways I've found colour easier then B&W
It's only four pounds? I think I have a lens that heavy -)
I thought Shen had mostly stopped making it's larger Ebony style cameras?
I don't. I'm curious what the point of the wide angle version of the camera is. The current camera goes just as wide if not wider. So what's gained from the wide angled model?
The FCL with the bag bellows goes wider IIRC. With the Sinar recessed board I think it less then 60mm ground glass to back of lensboard.
How wide does it go? The FCL already goes wider then any 8x10 lens. I guess the new one sets up quicker.
The in demand W are all single coated aren't they? While it doesn't matter for 4x5 the W are good cheap wide angles for the larger formats.
The Fuji-W is smaller then the other similar speed lenses. It's still big enough to lose a small child underneath .
For field work it's not like an 8x10 field camera is that tiny either.
You don't mention budget.
I'd lean towards the Shen 5x7 camera and the matching 6x17 back.
Why?
Better camera. Cheaper back. So the total cost isn't much higher. If you later want to shoot...
standard.
The parts are supposed to improve chemical flow. The film should hold in place without them.
If you insert the things a few times in daylight inserting them in the darkness gets easier. It's no...
The one you find a good deal on first?
Many of the 360mm are big and heavy. That might be an issue.
The 450mm Fuji F/12.5 is tiny OTOH.
Lenses that don't appeal to the current manias are cheaper and can be cheap.
So big heavy lenses are cheaper then small light weight lenses.
Longer tend to be cheaper then wide angle.
Unpopular...
312mm? Is that right? I may need to fix that 8x10 ground glass now -)
IIRC the 4.5 image circle is listed at F/16. The F/8 at F/22. That implies to me NIkon thinks the F/8 should be stopped down more then the F/4.5.
Shen FCL-810 is fairly light. The 4x10 back is reasonable.
The FCL from memory is less then 7lbs. I want to say just over 3kg.
So they brought it back? Interesting they weren't making this when I got my FCL.
I guess it depends if you are a wide or a long person. The FCL design goes VERY wide. With a 5x7 back on it I...
Yes but the tilt didn't come in until early 1930s IIRC. So if the camera has front tilt and only carries the Ansco name it has to be after the US government took it over.
But pre-42 would be labeled Afga-Ansco. Not just Ansco.
If you're flying on to your real destination remember to include all the costs for the second leg. Airline, taxes and any transfers. You might be landing in the big London airport and then flying out...
If it has front tilt then it's post 1942. No? Tilt. Only Ansco on the label.
82mm not 85. Unless your Nikon is different then mine. I can't imagine an 85 being used.
Literature and film aren't art? Okay
Simple answer is a 5x7 with a 4x5 back.
pH adjustment.
Keeping qualities.
Hardening if it's a hardening fixer . TF-3 isn't
You can use plain hypo like this so I'm sure ammonium thiosulfate would be fine.
The normal answer is the Uniroller 351 or the Beseler. But in Europe? No idea but if you find two send me one :D
You'll need the 2551/2561/2581 with the base Either that or look for the 2560...
I thought most of the modern wides are at least a little .
I'd assume the Nikon 120mm is but I can't remember the flange distance off the top of my head. The 90mm is 98mm IIRC. I want to say the...
You might consider making or having made an adapter to either Sinar or Linhoff standard lensboards. Both are fairly common. Relatively cheap. Not to mention likely smaller then your Korona.
If you...
That's a print tank. You can use it for film but it's still a print tank.
The wings haven't been sold by Jobo for a long time. None of my tanks came with them. I've never had a need for them. The...
The high coverage model is single coated.
Oh BTW the Fuji-W isn't any more expensive normally. Faster. Similar size. Same sort of coverage.
Are we talking the factory mounted or the user mounted ones? It'll light 8x10 plus a bit. I wouldn't claim the corners are sharp but they sure weren't dark straight on. I forget how much movement...
You're missing some points I think.
The 80% [or whatever the meter shows] is the ratio of flash to ambient light in the total exposure. If you have a low power flash or are using a slow shutter...
The percentage is the amount of flash versus ambient light. Yes you should have set shutter speed.
The Nikons haven't been made for awhile. So price will depend on how many are for sale at the moment. For awhile B&H was selling off stock at a good price but I doubt they have any left.
The 4.5...
