Exquisite! Lighting and processing.
As already mentioned, a great combo. Both Tmax100 and Tmy400 are close to box speed with this developer, I shoot Tmax100 at 80 and develop for 10 minutes at 24 degree 1+9 I use a Jobo 1500 and...
Bergger 200 was rebadged Forte pan 200 and it was a bit grainy but nice and with an extended red sensitivity.
I might be mistaken but I don't think Bergger ever manufactured anything. Film and...
Love this bird series from Austin but lot's of great images from all lately. I really like this thread and the excellent medium format images posted here.
Since there are no 4.375"' 6.8 Dagor Greg most likely meant the f8 and there would be no need to mention the f stop.
Don't forget a six pack or two, it always brings out a hero or two.
Hard to find anything lighter and smaller than the 130mm Rodenstock Perigon.
Will cover 5x7 with lot's of movements.
The old version was not IR safe!
That said, have had good results throwing the dark cloth carefully over the bellows before exposure.
The bellows on my early Cham 8x10 is not IR safe. The bag bellows you can get for the 8x10 is IR safe.
Sad news. R.I.P Brian.
Just deep enough. 12.5" deep measuring to the lowest of the dividers.
150W will in my experience be to much light for the Lodima paper of course it depends on the distance also. Lodima is a much faster paper than Azo although they are both slow compared to Silver...
Voted 2 to 4 hours but have gone longer but that would not be an average. 12 to 14 hours is some hardcore sessions, my back would give up long before that.
Beautiful image Austin.
Be well trained before you give it a go, there's to many up there that did not make it back.
Almost same spot as Austin's image, just around the corner. Scan of Pt/Pd print.
I have a Pro SBC that I can sell, make me an offer :)
Tom, Very nice portrait.
Not yet mentioned but Fyn (Fynen) and Langeland the long island between Fyn and Lolland is worth a day or two. The Southern part of Fyn is nice with small villages and very old houses. On both...
More praise Austin. Wish I had the creativety to make such a nice image.
As Erik I am also partial to Ilford warmtone, it just have the right amount of warm tone without being completely brown.
The new offerings from Ilford sounds very interesting. The classic MGIV IV...
Spectacular image Will.
Agree with you Sly. Not sure how Jonathan made it but he seems to always have the time and the vision to create images from within 50 feet of his wife's naked body, he probably never get out of his...
Nice calm and quiet fall scenery Alex.
Beautiful capture Will.
That is one thing I still need to try. Going by the suggested dev times I have developed a few rolls that looks nice without extended time. Just very inconsistent so far.
Next time I will cut a roll...
I think part of the reasons for thin negatives is the film speed. Those few rolls I have successfully developed in the Potassium variant have been exposed at about half box speed.
Negatives...
Very nice Austin. Great tone, should make a wonderful print.
Another one from Sunday morning, a little more drama in this one.
Thanks Ari, it was just medium format :)
Thank you Pete..
From earlier today. Finally some interesting weather due to the cold here in the NW.
At this time we must conclude that it is consistently inconsistent and to much of a risk to use on important images.
Sounds like you have exactly the same problem as I did.
In the end I made the OA with Potassium Metabisulphite and Potassium Carbonate and can make good looking negatives now. TMY an exception,...
That's a beautiful portrait Ari. Wonderful light.
1:3 is a very strong solution and almost at the strength you want to use to increase contrast in negatives.
Some papers don't tone very well, the now long gone Kentmere Kentona was an exception....
I think it is possible to use D76 on a replenishment schedule as some does with Xtol. Do a search on Xtol and I think you will find some threads about replenishment.
If you do this you would need to...
1.0039 gallons will make the developer useless :)
Something I missed in my response to Raffay earlier is that it really does not matter if the end volume is 4L or 3L as long as he will test and...
Raffay, just remember to filter your developer before you put it in your storage bottles and you will be rewarded. :)
As an afterthought, also use filtered water to clean your storage bottles to...
Yes, you want a final 3.8L when all is mixed.
I use coffee filters in a funnel when i fill my glass bottles.
Not filtering will cause you a lot of grief when it is time to print. Everything you can...
You can mix in an open bucket no problem. It is best to start with less than the full amount of water as the chemistry will add volume.
Start with 3 liter of water and dissolve the chemistry and...
