Great news, I hope that everything works out fine and we can get a minimalistic simple and lightweight cam for 100$, or even a little bit more![]()

I'm down for one. maybe you could set up an email list so that potential buyers can get updates and preorder info.
Excellent work.

I'll order one for 90mm.
People are starting to put orders in here on the forum? Isn't that not what this forum/topic is for?
There are many people here that are interested in the camera when it's available. Can we wait until the guys making the camera ask for orders and tell us how to order, and not start a feeding frenzy?

Critiques always welcome...

Sorry for coming in so late to this intriguing project.
Just a thought on making a more compact body for carrying in a small pack. It might be possible to divide the body in two parts so that the smaller part could be placed inside the larger. Then for extra-compact carry, the lens could also be reversed in the front part.
A rough idea of one photo application that uses the concept that is Linhof's ground glass reflex viewer. There are two kinds, I am referring to this model.
A compact 4x5 camera I made about 15 years ago. It has a focusing helix made specifically for the lens, a 47mm F/5.6 Super Angulon.
Very best of success in your endeavor!
Hi guys,
Just a small update. We recently finished editing our Kickstarter video, which introduces the 4x5 and gives a brief overview. This will be your chance to support the actual production of this camera. We also reveal a little secret in the video that many of you will find very exciting! You won't want to miss it.
Engineering-wise, the only thing left is to add distance marks for the Angulon 90mm ƒ6.8. You'll be able to focus from infinity down to about 2 feet. If you're bringing a different 90, you'll need to make your own marks... Most other 90s seem to have a longer FFD, so the minimum focus will be greater.
One thing I don't think we ever mentioned is that we hope to include an injection molded plastic ground "glass." This way, straight out of the box, you can set up your distance marks for your 90mm if its not an Angulon ƒ6.8. Its also useful for testing your distance finder. Additionally, some may choose to use it in the field rather than a distance finder.
We'll have more as soon as the Kickstarter goes up, which will be soon! Thanks for reading!
Ben
