Jody...agreed, nudes are a difficuly genre. You may have had more success that I have, as mine are in a unique class far beneath dismal failure.

I guess it's the idea of starting with a concept that seems backwards to me. I usually want to play in the light and composition with no idea of where I am going. I'd rather the art speak the concept to me instead of me forcing one onto it. I don't want to proscribe. I just thought I'd be a smart ass and throw out that comment.

(my (LF) portraits are rare and bad; I'm just not writing off some of the highest-rated-for-originality photos of all time on one of the most-respected photo-sharing sites as gimmickry though)

Are you familiar with the stories of Ray Bradbury? There was one where the tattoos came alive at night -- "The Illustrated Man". Boy does this picture ever evoke that memory!
