Nice work, gbogatko! Fifty feet at least until the trees leaf! The same can happen in the redwoods -- though if a tree falls, a 300 foot vista can be sometimes be created.

Ugh. I'm still convinced that the early soft-focus guys used soft lenses because there was just no way to tame the 'rain-forest.' One reads over and over about how they abhorred "wiry definition" and advocated lenses that would PREVENT sharp focus. I have 'sharp' versions of these subjects and they all suck precisely because sharp focus just craps things up.

Thank you. A bit of luck: after this snow fell, there was no wind - so the snow stayed on the trees for a long time.
