    A different version of a 4x5 Ektachrome posted some time ago, done while setting up for the page below. The idea being to get a very weak frontal fill from a ring-light to pick up the off-side whites without opening the shadows).
    Like Frank Petronio, I hold that if you need a fill you've got it wrong. But sometimes a weak shadowless ring-light can give a little extra depth.

    You must have a HUGE closet full of props and the like? I've been looking for wooden shapes similar to some of those in your photographs, like this sphere. However, finding bigger ones is proving difficult. Another great photograph! Thanks for sharing

    Thanks Dan & Darr. I've got a trunkfull of leftovers in a corner.
    Monday morning Lilly - as found this morning. 4x5 Tmax, Ebony, 135 Sironar at f45. One non-spill umbrella.
