I am gearing up to make 20x24 inch black and white prints. I have everything but an enlarging easel. I'd like to find a used one versus buying new. Any ideas?

There are certain darkroom items that are still expensive--primarily because relatively few printers owned them in the first place. A used adjustable 20x24 easel is still costly on ebay, but you might be able to find one locally for a reasonable price. I made a simple easel of of MDF and some thin wood strips and it worked beautifully until I found an adjustable 20x24 in my price range. Honestly, I'd recommend building your own if you don't do much cropping.
I have one for sale.
Saunders 4 blade in excellent condition.
I am not using mine. I like trades. Could consider long distance turoring if you have a specialty. Because I am in the P N-W we're far apart so shipping would be a consideration.
Mine is a beard two blade. The thing dwarfs the average minivan. Shipping because of the size and weight was the main issue.
Thanks to all of you for your inputs. I finally found one on Ebay that I could afford. It is arriving Friday.
How much was the shipping from NY to MS ?
Around $65 including $500 worth of insurance. It arrived in great shape.
Hi guys,
I've been pondering purchasing a 20x24 Saunders easel for sometime now. I even unsuccessfully bid on used ones on Ebay - they went for over $400 + shipping. So yesterday afternoon I bought a new one (Saunders 4 blade Universal) in an unopened box from a local camera store for $502 + tax. Expensive, but I'm glad now as it's not too heavy and sits perfectly on my Beseler 45MXT baseboard so much so that I now plan to use it for all my printing from 5x7 to 20x24.
