Can vBulletin enforce a limit on connection time of a guest connection?

The Forum Permissions Manager, where permissions for the various Usergroups are set, includes no timing parameter.

I’ve been studying the access logs. It appears that these numerous guest connections are from a swarm of AI bots that are methodically extracting every image in the site. I traced a few of the (probably stolen) IP addresses they are using, and most are in China. As I post this message there are about 10,000 guest connections.

In looking around the Forum pages just now, I saw the below data, which suggests that increasing the limit to 200 simultaneous connections will not help much.

(If the attachment fails, it says there are 14,000 “guest users” connected.

Alright, really weird...
