    April 4, 2025. MacDonald Research Forest (Old Growth section) in north Corvallis.
    Photographed with the Rolleiflex 2.8E, and Kodak Tri-X film, developed in Adox XT-3 1:1 for 8 minutes.
    Tri-X is still one of the best B&W films on the market, and can perform spectacularly.

    Thank you very much, Igor, I appreciate that.
    It was immediately apparent that the Planar lens is superior to the Tessar on my MX Automat, but not in terms of sharpness - it's the kind of contrast it delivers: local area contrast is crisper and more defined, and I can see that it makes editing images in post much easier. It's as good as the Planar on my Hasselblad.
