    Thanks Peter. I visited the Space and Rocket center when I was very young, in Scouts, and was excited to go back and see the Saturn V and other rockets on display. The 8mm fisheye is always an interesting lens to play with.

    Bryan, I remember images like yours, so i looked up that 1970 lens made during our Space age

    Randy, thank you very much for the reminder. I hadn't actually thought about that connection, but indeed my lens would have been manufactured mere months after we reached the moon (an early pre-AI model).

    Few people today are using them, being mostly a collectors item. Were circular fisheye images at all common in media at the time?

    Was it the same model lens as hal 9000 used?

    And yes the circular fish eye image was quite common.
