Update just went out. There's progress on the helical - in short, they are switching to polycarbonate, expect that to be less finicky than the nylon has been, anticipate receiving a new series of sample parts run with a range of cool times, to find optimal fit, by the middle of next week.

Very quiet ain't it.
Well this could mean three things.
1. Xcentric was delayed in running the samples.
2. They ran the samples and for some reason the fit is still too tight or too loose. (In this scenario Ben's friends are keeping a close watch on him so he does not decide to go jump in the Chicago river)
3. They ran the samples and the fit was correct and Ben is waiting for word when they can run the entire 1500 pieces. (In this scenario Ben's friends are still trying to sober him up from the celebration.)

I hope for #3 but I fear #1 or #2 are the most likely given all that's happened so far.

Ya, the lack of updates is pretty sad. They should take a page out of New55's book. Regular and very thorough.

I feel Ben and Justin are both working hard to make this camera a reality. I know how discouraging it can be when all you feel you have to report is "have faith, we are working hard to make this happen but..."

And when it seems that people are taking every opportunity to remind them that they are not good enough. Questions of "why can't you update like this guy?" certainly can't be encouraging.

Further, I don't think it is fair to compare them against another Kickstarter who not only is behind on their projections, but is also coming back for even more money. If that was my business model I would be sending out regular updates as well.
