Steve, I have a small stash of that film, Adox CHS 25. I don't keep track, but I think it's somewhere between 3 and 5 years since I bought it, and I have not checked it's availability lately. But I will have to, since I have only ~15-20 sheets in 5×8 and a single 5×7 box left...

One from a recent visit to Hanging Lake, Colorado. A strenuous hike and only a few minutes to shoot a picture before hitting the trail back. I wish I had had more time to find a different (better) composition. Maybe next time...

It's gorgeous, Myxine! And I particularly like the composition, so there's that too

You won't find the good old adox 25 anywhere now. Lumiere shop in Germany had recently a 25 ISO film from wephota I think but I am not sure of the provenance - formerly wephota 25 was I think made by Filmotec but my last info was that they do not make sheet film any more.. I've no idea about what the film is like... Anyone tried it?

I'm a less is more kinda guy. The top has nothing interesting and the bottom detracts from those badass icicles. How about this?

I'd prefer the first one, even though the second one is a great image as well. I feel that in the first one, the top and bottom balance out quite nicely and at the same time give some depth to the image. It's a matter of taste though.

I was with Vinny before even seeing his post. Sometimes the "near-far" thing works well, but often it just seems to create two different photographs that don't necessarily support each other.

I have shot quite a few sheets of Wephota 25 (you can have a look at the images here http://www.vasina.net/?tag=wephota-np-15 , filtered by tag), but that is also old stock, bought 5-8 years ago. I have not ordered any Wephota film in the past 3 years, so if they changed anything (manufacturing plant, supplier,...) my experience would not be valid anymore. I have found the film to be perfectly usable, low grain, good tonality (but the images don't "shine" the way they do on Adox or Fomapan), good reciprocity (better than Fomapan 100 - actually it's faster to expose a sheet of Wephota 25 than Fomapan 100 when speaking about exposure of 60 seconds or more (pre-correction time)). I have not seen any emulsion defects or scratches, pinholes or anything alike.

I've used the old wephota 25 as well and it was excellent. To this day I regret not stocking up on it when it was available. This new one is only available up to 5x7 size - may it be a 5in aerial roll?
