    +1

Maybe I need to meet Ben for that drink. He may need it

Ben, if you are listening, I'll buy the first round at Continental. Thursday after midnight.

I promise not to ask questions about the camera.

I think Wanderlust Cameras is their passion but they both have regular jobs. I also think they have probably spent a lot more than the KS funds to get this far. That money had to come out of their own pockets.

No, they just had a really great idea for a camera they wished someone would make and since no one did they decided to make it themselvs and share the camera with others.

To save some time I would be willing to assemble my own camera, just send the bagged parts when they come in and let some of us have some fun.

    The anticipation is killing me!!!

I will certainly enjoy this camera when it arrives. I personally am very, very glad that Ben and Justin decided to go ahead with their idea.

    I could see that happening.

I'd be willing to throw them some more money because I'd like to see it completed if they were short and that's what they really needed. I believe in TravelWide.

I think they spent a lot of time coming up with the initial design and refining it, not necessarily a lot of cash. Of course, time is money, but I think they were pretty smart to validate the demand for the product through KickStarter, and not order the parts for a thousand cameras on speculation.

With over a thousand backers, the pain of giving more money could be spread out over a wide audience. Hopefully, that's not necessary. They could always set up a pledge button like the people at NEW55 have done. I assume that they'll make money back when they sell the rest of the cameras at a higher price point.

Perhaps they need a part-time worker to assemble the cameras and package them up in order to ship them out. The assembly looks trivial to me because there are so few parts. Of course, if they just ship parts, they'll have to make sure everybody gets all of the necessary parts or they'll run into more headaches with dissatisfied customers.

The assembly looks trivial for one camera, but for 1500 cameras I'd think a person would go a little buggy. But of course you are right. They would have to insure all the parts were included.

I hope the diffculties they have experienced getting this camera ready do not discourage them from futher developments based on the camera.

It has certainly been frustrating... Though things are moving a lot faster now. Everyone on this board has been incredibly patient, but we have a few backers who act like we're withholding their liver transplant out of spite. You would not believe how many consecutive exclamation points people can type.

I have five boxes of goodies from Xcentric being delivered today, hopefully with the final candidate for the Pinwide. If those work out, there are only two more pieces to be produced: the GG and the caps for the Pinwide. The only other question mark is the internal paperboard support for the camera inside the box, so it doesn't rattle around in shipping.

    Getting there!

Thats a comforting post Ben. My darling bride (of 26 years) is waiting eagerly for C.H.O.M.P.Y.
She thinks it's "cute" and will want to hot glue a magnet to it and stick it on the fridge, ready to open a cold one. Thats ok because I have a regular lens spanner.
