New to me, arrived yesterday an 18x24 Reisekamera.

I have a Petzval that I can use with it, it's for a forthcoming project making Direct positive prints.

Nice! How much do those go for? I see quite a few every now and then. Do you need to modify the back in order to fit regular holders?

I bought this one unseen, I'd placed an order for a 13x18cm German Reisekamera that needed a focus panel and some brass fittings but was cheap.£79 inc postage (94 euros/$127). It had been sold but left online but this one looked similar folded up so there was confusion between the two partners in the company They offered me this one instead at the same price and said I could send it back if not happy. They normally sell for considerably more.

The camera did have a serious issue but it took me less than half an hour to repair. There's a block in the base that slides to lock the base firmly when it's opened for use, some wood was missing. other bits cracked, but I grafted in new pieces and glued it all up. I will give the camera a good clean and re-french polish it.

I may well make a 10x8 back as I have two 10x8 cameras and plenty of DDS (film holders) but I'll also get some 18x24 holders.I'm not sure yet what type it takes. I'll also make some new lens boards.

Turns out, this is the only image I have of the LF camera.

Cambo SC2 with Apo-Ronar 240/9, and a loose 8x10 rack from a older Cambo model.
And yes, the Apo-Ronar does cover 8x10.
