Very atypical for a landscape shot, but wonderfully done.

gutsy to use velvia in a situation like that. bravo. it really captured the atmosphere in a very suggestive way.

Thank you! I'm curious what you mean by atypical. Not that I disagree, I just didn't really think of it that way. It is, after all, a sunrise photo.

As an aside, I saw this on the way to an orchestra gig and slammed on my brakes, trespassing onto private property to snag this shot. Way back in March I think actually, only now getting a batch of E6 done.

I was probably referring to the color palette. Not so much vivid greens, reds, and blues as typical of a color landscape. More of a subdued brownish earthy feeling.

Ah, I see, cool. I have to admit that wasn't intentional, but that's just how the landscape looked. There's not a lot of vivid color here in the deep south.

Here's an older shot. If I recall I used my 135/5.6 APO Sironar-S and Velvia.

Beautiful I love the slight transparency to the water in the foreground, and the colours are lovely.

    Sorry about that..

Some where near the Seattle area, within 2 hours of it. This was my first outing with this camera. I didn't take many notes, even though I had an iPad with me. ;( I was shooting along with my buddy. He was snapping away with Digital, and at times, it was difficult to concentrate.

Next trip out to shoot like this, I'll document shots via the iPad with text and images, so I'll know where I was, time of day, etc...

Not sure where we went to be honest. I was riding along with a buddy of mine, and he took me around for 4 days. I shot 4x5 and 120 b/w, as well as 4x5 Velvia.
