    Unicolor base + 3005 + PMK + 4x10 negs = happiness

I am starting to process my back-log of negatives.

I have about 100 that I need to process so I picked up a Unicolor roller-base a few weeks ago. With the 3010 drum on it, the Unicolor roller will only do 1/2 revolution.

I looked and saw that others had removed the switch that controls the reversing mechanism, and so I removed the rocker arm and cam. It might have been easier to cut the wire to the reversing diode, but I didn't.

I am using 1000ml of PMK mixed from scratch (thanks to Robert Hall), and I am dividing my 15 minute developing time in half then adding a fresh 1000ml to finish the development.

My film is HP5+ and I am rating it at 200. The results so far are fabulous. No streaking or uneven development.

    I am giving a 2-minute pre-soak.

For my minus and plus development I will start off by adding and subtracting 10% and go from there.

I'll take a pic of my set-up and post it too... I am doing all of this processing in my tiny 1/2 bathroom until my darkroom can be finished.

Is it fair that you can use the mirror to keep the drum on the base?

BTW, you might run your motor through the timer.

    Oh I might...might I?

I find that if I have to manually operate the switch, I don't fall asleep at the wheel. It keeps me more 'involved'.

Thanks for the PMK. It is the sweetest batch I've ever used.

I'm going to pull out the densitometer and take some readings.
