Bob, thank you for the quick response. I do have one more question: I noticed that this Linhof has two removable camera backs - one fits 4x5 sheet holders and the other fits 2.25 x 3.25. Did these both come with the original camera, or is one of them an accessory that was purchased at a later date? If so, which one? Thanks again.

No. There was a 45 and a 69 version. You apparently have a 69 reducing back.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that. So, it appears that the exact title of my camera is a "1959 Linhof Color 6x9 Monorail" - would this be accurate, in your opinion? Thank you.

No. It's a Linhof Color 45.

Got a Linhof Technika III serial number 35616. And a Angulon 90mm f/6.8 serial number 2906593. Came with some instruction books printed in early 1950s (some of them were typewritten ). I wonder when my camera and lens were made. Also if you guys feel it's useful, I can scan those paper and post the pics in a separate thread
