Hi Bob - just a quick question if I may.

Info on other websites and forums suggest the differentiator between the III and IV is the single lever release for the back.

Presume this is not so?

I guess it matters not a jot to me as I have three lenses that appear to match the rangefinder - three Linhof stamped Schneider - Kreunznach lenses (Angulon 1:6.8/65, Xenar 1:3.5/105 and Tele-Xenar 1:5.5/180) - all of which seem to rangefinder focus correctly with the GG. Interestingly only the 105 serial is engraved on the 3 way cam but all three lens serials do match the production date of the camera, but I am interested to know should I look to source additional lenses (the III has a unique lens board apparently).

The IV, and later models, has front and rear tilt on the front standard, the III did not have front tilt. The IV and later use the same lens boards, the III used a different board. The IV, and later models, have more movement.

Sorry, I don't have numbers for the 612 but yours is the current model. If yours is set up for the 65 and 135mm you have the older model.
