Rollma Paper Dispenser MD52 Search for Parts

My roll paper dispenser has a dead encoder made by Copal and this particular part no longer available from them. Does anyone know of a source of parts? The only contact I may have with Rollma in Italy is a phone number which I just may have to try. Other than that they don't seem to have a presence on the Web. Are they no longer in business? Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

I would not mind replacing it with a MD31.

Allied Electronics carries 4 Copal encodes. Two phase square wave encoders to track rotation and direction are an standard industrial technology. Any information on
input supply voltage and perhaps a wiring diagram or schematic. Copal p/n would help find a replacement or match. PM me if you have more data.
