    LF to MF lenses

In regards to Glenn C. Kroeger comments in 2x3 round-up. I'm looking for opinions as to whether the Horseman ER lenses would be considered having the performance characteristics of LF or MF lenses. I do know they have some movement capabilities but how about sharpness as discussed earlier in the 2x3 round-up? I have both the Horseman ER-1 and the Mamiya 7ll system. In comparing the two, will there be a noticable difference in image sharpness (dismissing the movement capabilities?) Thanks!

It probably varies from lens to lens. I believe the lenses for the Mamiya 7 series are some of the most modern available and doubt that the Horseman ER lenses which are 10 plus years old designs are equal to them. However, it is entirely possible that in actual use you will not see a difference in your actual results.

Bear in mind, you have the option of tilts, swings, rise/fall and shifts with the Horseman lenses (and other large format lenses) that you don't have with the Mamiya.
