    SL66 Repair?

    Hi,

I have a Rolleiflex SL66 in need of repair, the focusing knob has decided to stop working.

Does anyone know of someone that can fix it? I've tried a bunch of local repair shops (I'm in Denver, CO) but nobody seems to handle these old cameras anymore.

    Thanks

    Rob

If you don't mind shipping the camera you could try Oceanside Camera Repair. Mr Flennor has serviced my Rolleiflex TLR and my 35S and they both came back working great. He's not cheap and he generally has a backlog, but both cameras where completed in the estimated amount of time.

    Try the shops listed here:

And I heard Essex Camera is pretty good, but I haven't used them

Check with Krimar. He will know who does them in case he doesn't.

Fleenor is very good, but also very busy.

I've had my two worked on by Jurgen Kuschnik, who was excellent, but he's since moved from So. Cal. back to Germany.

Jurgen also worked on mine, and I had them back in a little over a week. He told me that he had trained Fleenor, who has always had a good reputation and a large backlog.

I was sorry to see Jurgen leave; he gave me his contact information in Germany if anyone is interested.

I've sent not one, but two SL66s to Jurgen in the past several years. The insured roundtrip shippin' is a bitchin' but it's still worth it. Came back perfect and prompt.
