Shattered Nautilus, 2013. 8X10 Deardorff with 250 wide-field Ektar. Stopped it down to F45, effective F90 and it's not sharp. Going to back off a stop.

Magnolia bud and knife, 2013. I was excited about this idea, but now calming down. Even a stupid idea can lead to a better one....
Dice and ice, 2013. My idea was to construct momentary still lifes. Otherwise, why not just exhibit the assemblage? I had so much fun that I shot through all 16 sheets of 8X10. Tossed all but these four and they aren't quite up to speed. Need one more layer but I have that layer in mind in nearly each case, or a better execution of it. I've been struggling with this 8X10. Maybe I finally found a use for it.

This is some pottery from a local artist here in San Diego. I don't think he produces any more of this art, but we sure like the ones we bought from him over the years. I especially like these Ginkgo leaf ones. Very art deco to my eye.
