How do you time your film when developing in trays?

massive dev chart app on my iPhone. I use it in either red or green depending on my mood. it sits a foot away from my trays or tanks and I've had no issue with fogging.

Same with me. Airplane mode, brightness all the way down, red display on MDC. My only wish is for a setting to allow timer cycles to automatically advance without hitting the Start key with wet fingers. Or to be able to tell Siri to start the timer...

When I did tray processing I wore a stopwatch around my neck and would turn opposite the negatives and turn on the indiglo light. Kinda goofy sometimes, but it worked well.

Never thought of this. I've been using the minute countdown on iPhone with brightness all the way down and upside down on a towel. Is kind of hard to operate with wet fingers.
