I think if I tried to fix it the sheet of paper would go white. Because the exposure is so long the paper has lost a lot of its sensitivity and can be viewed indoors for a short period of time without too much degradation.

it goes white because it isn't a chemical reaction but a chemical stain.
nicéphore niépce made things like this, he called them "retina prints" ...
scanning / xeroxing &c, even leaving it in a dark drawer out of any light
causes some of these images to turn grey ...
i noticed that hand coated paper made with bottled emulsion ( like liquid light ) tends to retain the image the longest
and the colors from the paper are beautiful.
