The garden of Tyresö Palace south of Stockholm

Got my new 4x10 back for my Chamonix 45H-1 and 4 holders last week or so.
    Lovely feeling and finish.
    And film arrived on Wednesday.
This is my first real try from yesterday.

I love the format, but there is a whole new approach to composition I think.
I don'r know if the traditional wide angel foreground-background composition really works that well in panorama. Perhaps the mid ground can become more important. Raising the camera and not go too low can be a good general approach?

Anyway, this is going to be fun.

A number of years ago, inspired by Jay Dusard's book "Open Country" i asked a cabinet maker friend to build me a 4x10. It was a beautiful black walnut version of Jay's box camera, which i used with a 90 super-angulon X-L. I carried it around to quite a few distant/inconvenient places, before selling it on to another home

That is very wide indeed. And I found some pictures of the camera on Photrio. Looked awesome!

    Hi !
Very nice picture. One question - do you cut your film yourself ?

Yes, I ordered some 8x10 and cut it down.

I'm using a cutter with som permanent tape as a distance and some cotton gloves.
A bit cumbersome to do in my changing bag but it works. But I have ordered a larger changing tent.

One thing to take in consideration though is that when you cut 8x10 to 4x10 (with one cut) you only get a 1/32 of an inch in tolerance on the short side (instead of the usual 1/16). So the film is a little bit to large. Not a problemen with my holders, but my modified Jobo spiral just about can handle it with a little bit of bulge on the film when loaded.

What emulsion is this? I'd guess Ektachrome.

You may very well be right. I shot quite a bit of expired EPN before supplies ran out and Fuji Provia became more available. I’ll pull the film and check.
