Epson R2880 with non OEM inks Part 2

Hi there,

I have finally got a non OEM pigment ink set for my Epson R2880.
I changed the ink set and run a couple of head cleaning cycles to flush the old ink.
What I have noticed is that, beside a slight color shift, the deep black
parts of the prints are much less glossy than the rest of the print (I am using photo black ink)
In contrast with Epson ink I always got very glossy and uniform prints.
Did you ever get something similar, am I doing something wrong?

Yes, I got the same results with Ink Republic, that's why I went back to Epson cartridges.
